Going Green Cleaning

Whirlpool tubs can be cleaned with a number of items. However, many people overlook vinegar as a natural cleaner. Your tub can create the perfect breeding ground for bacteria. Fight back (naturally) with white vinegar. Other forms of vinegar are not suggested, instead of clearing bacteria they can actually help to enhance the growth.

Materials Needed

  • Spray Bottle
  • White Vinegar ( 1 Gallon)
  • Sponge

Step 1

Pour some white vinegar into a spray bottle. You will then use this to clean out any obvious dirt and grime. Spritz the vinegar over the tub, using the sponge to aid you in your cleaning endeavors.

Step 2

Your tub should have a minimum operating capacity level, meaning you can fill it up with the smallest amount possible while it can still function. This is generally just over the level of the jets. You should then start up the jets.

Step 3

Pour the remaining amount of white vinegar into the water of your whirlpools tub.

Step 4

Leave the tub to run for a cycle. This should give it time to successfully flush the vinegar around.

Step 5

Rinse. You don’t want to leave stagnate vinegar in your tub- let some fresh water rinse through the tub. If it still smells of vinegar, don’t worry! It will go away within a couple of days.

Standard Cleaners Method
